Overview The BroadWorks Assistant toolbar (pictured above) enables users to make and accept telephone calls and change telephone settings from within Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer and Firefox. Benefits: Web-based Call Management Advanced call control capabilities include a pop-up notification when a call comes in, and enables the user to answer the call, place it on hold, send it to voice mail, or transfer it to another party, without leaving the Microsoft application they are using.

This is so you can receive, initiate, and control calls directly from your computer.
When you log in for the first time, you need to configure your connection settings as described in the following steps. Once these settings are configured, you do not need to provide them again. You can log in directly from the toolbar by clicking Login. 1) Click Login on the toolbar. BroadWorks Assistant will open the Options dialog. 2) Click Account.
3) To configure your account settings, enter the username and password for your BroadWorks account in the fields provided. (Your username is your 15 digit Broadsoft user ID. Contact [email protected] if you need help obtaining your username and password.) 4) Check the Save Username and Save Password options if you want to avoid being prompted for this information next time you log in. Free download. 5) Click Apply. 6) Configure your server connection by clicking Connection. 7) Enter the following for the Host Address: www.matervoip.us 8) Enter the following for the Host Port: 2208 9) Click Apply.
10) To configure your general settings, click General in the tree view to the left of the Options dialog. 11) Check Auto login on start-up to have Assistant connect automatically when you start Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Outlook. 12) Check the Auto login when connected to network to have Assistant connect automatically when a network connection is available.
13) Click OK. 14) Click Login again to finish the login process. If your configuration and credentials are correct, you will be connected to the BroadWorks server and the buttons on your toolbar will be enabled. Attachments • The latest release of this software. • Full user manual.
Notes: • You cannot increase the size of the buttons representing the commands by an option in Microsoft Office. The only way to increase the size of the buttons is to lower the screen resolution you use.
• You cannot display the Quick Access Toolbar on multiple lines. • Only commands can be added to the Quick Access Toolbar. The contents of most lists, such as indent and spacing values and individual styles, which also appear on the ribbon, cannot be added to the Quick Access Toolbar. However, you can to personalize the ribbon the way that you want it. For example, you can create custom tabs and custom groups to contain your frequently used commands. What do you want to do?
Outlook Toolbar Settings
Add a command to the Quick Access Toolbar • On the ribbon, click the appropriate tab or group to display the command that you want to add to the Quick Access Toolbar. • Right-click the command, and then click Add to Quick Access Toolbar on the shortcut menu. Note: In the 2007 release of Office, when you right clicked commands on the menu that you saw after you clicked the Microsoft Office Button, you had the option to add the command to the Quick Access Toolbar.

Outlook Toolbar Icons Disappear
In Office 2010, you do not have this option after you click the File tab. Add a command to the Quick Access Toolbar that isn’t on the ribbon • Click Customize the Quick Access Toolbar > More Commands. • In the Choose commands from list, click Commands Not in the Ribbon. • Find the command in the list, and then click Add. Remove a command from the Quick Access Toolbar • Right-click the command you want to remove from the Quick Access Toolbar, and then click Remove from Quick Access Toolbar on the shortcut menu. Change the order of the commands on the Quick Access Toolbar • Right-click the Quick Access Toolbar, and then click Customize the Quick Access Toolbar on the shortcut menu.
